Richard Allely(1949 - 2017)
Richard Allely, 67, passed away June 22nd, 2017. Richard grew up in Piney Point , TX, graduated from Memorial High School, and later Texas A&M. Richard enjoyed 40 years of healthcare construction management, beginning with CM & Associates(later becoming CRSS) in Houston, TX. His career took him many places: Denver, CO; Quatar, Bahrain, Florida; Chattanooga, TN (where he met his wife of 37 years); Charlottesville, VA; San Diego, CA; Roseville, CA; Dallas, TX; Albuquerque, NM; Slidell, LA, and finished in San Diego on the USCD Medical Center – Jacobs Tower. Richard relished the many friendships made on each project, whether it was the hospital owner or mentoring a new construction graduate. Building healthcare projects brought fulfillment to Richard, knowing these projects would ultimately bring better health to people. Family brought Richard the ultimate joy. He always enjoyed return visits to Houston to share moments with his siblings and nephew and nieces. Setting off 4th of July fireworks with his family was always a highlight in Houston. In Birmingham, he relished moments with Alexander and Olivia, nephew and niece and Scott and Renee Montgomery, brother and sister-in-law. Most of all, the family enjoyed every shared moment with Richard. He brought joy to everyone! Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Ted R. and Charlotte Allely; and brother, Jim Allely. He is survived by His wife, Joanne; brothers, Ted Allely of Sugarland, TX, and Brian (Andrea) Allely of Dripping Springs, TX; sisters, Susan Paradoski of Conroe, TX, and Barbara (David) Mason of Katy, TX; nieces, Lisa Wood, Tracey Allely, Jennifer Zoufalik, and Leslie Capps; and nephew, Adam Paradoski. Visitation will be from 2 to 3pm on Saturday July 1st at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with graveside services beginning at 3pm at Southern Heritage Cemetery. A Celebration of Richard's life will be on Sunday, July 2nd at 2pm at Church of the Highlands, Grants Mill Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to MountainChild, Inc. 17011 Lincoln Avenue #425, Parker, CO 80134.
