Carl Henry Frietsch was born on July 14, 1958 to Dr. Werner and Anita Frietsch in Denison Texas.

Carl attended St. Xavier's Catholic School before entering the Denison School System. He was an altar boy at St. Patrick's Catholic Church and an organist who enjoyed playing for the nuns and patient's families at Madonna Hospital.

While at Denison High School, Carl was an accomplished student and received the Most Likely To Succeed award. After high school, Carl enrolled in Texas A & M and went on to graduate with a finance and banking degree from Southeastern University in Durant. He had a long career at American Bank of Texas and recently retired as a Senior Vice President.

Carl was involved in Denison Jaycees where he held many positions including President and won the Jaycee of the Year award. A Financial Secretary for countless years of the Knights of Columbus Council 830, he was a Fourth Degree Knight, Grand Knight and a member of the Color Corp. Carl loved research including family genealogy and was a meticulous record keeper. His colleagues and clients considered him an astute businessman who took the time to cover the details. He loved hunting, fishing, and golf with John and they both shared a passion for the occasional practical joke. Carl had a huge heart for his pets.
