Phil Ernst Hanusch

January 5, 1968 - May 20, 2017

Phil Ernst Hanusch, born January 5, 1968, in Temple, Texas, departed this world after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. From Rosebud, Texas, and a proud graduate of Texas A&M Class of 1992, Phil impacted many lives in his short 49 years. A loving husband to Laura for over 23 years and a doting father to Kyle (19) Cody (17) and Kayli (13). Phil was also a diligent follower of Christ and served his Lord in countless hours of ministry leadership.

Phil was more than a role model but a teacher, mentor, coach, and student. He was a founder and the President of PMD Group for more than 20 years where his clients and coworkers were genuine friends. His natural ability to connect with people and his strong integrity in business allowed PMD to continually grow year after year. Whether it be sports or business, Phil was admired for his ability to coach and teach always with a smile.

When Phil was not working, you would most likely find him attending one of his kids’ sporting events, entertaining friends at his house, traveling the country on a family adventure, watching his beloved Aggies or serving the Lord. These times will be missed but the memories will forever be treasured.

Phil is survived by his loving wife Laura Jordy Hanusch; and children, Kyle, Cody and Kayli Hanusch; mother Lillian Dach; brother, Craig Hanusch and wife Sandi; step-father, Robert Dach; mother and father-in-law, Luke and Lydia Jordy; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life which will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at 5:30pm at Salem Lutheran Church in Tomball, Texas with the Reverend Tim Niekerk officiating. Burial to follow at Salem Lutheran Cemetery. There will be visitation prior to the service at 4pm and the family will visit with attendees after the burial in the Salem Lutheran Church Community Center.

In lieu of flowers the family has ask that a donation be made in Phil’s name to either Salem Lutheran Church or Concordia Lutheran High School, two ministries Phil was very passionate about.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all those who have helped in numerous capacities over the last few years.

“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share in your master’s happiness!”
