CHARLES ALBERT FISCHER
VICTORIA - Charles Albert Fischer, of Victoria, Texas, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the age of 93. He was born in Cuero, Texas on January 27, 1923 to John J. and Agnes Juenger Fischer. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Lois Leggett
Fischer; children Chuck Fischer and wife Joyce, Mark Fischer and wife Susu, Mary Jackson, Barbara Mabry and husband Mark, Dan Fischer and wife Dalynne, and Cindy Egg and husband Joel; sister Aggie Fischer Kelly; 18 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Fischer was preceded in death by his brother JJ Fischer Jr., his sister Dorothy Fischer Carter, and grandson Cody Jackson.
Charles' passion in life was flying. He left Texas A&M University in 1942 to join the United States Navy during WWII to pursue aviation. He later joined the Coast Guard during the Korean War to continue flying PBM's on Maritime Patrols and Search & Rescue Missions.
Charles loved his family and valued the simplicity of life. He is now on a new journey, one that has been met with tremendous strength and courage. We, his family, will hold him forever close in our hearts. He will always be our source of strength and will
bind us together forever.
Visitation will be held on Saturday July 9, 2016 from 1:00pm – 2:00pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home, Victoria TX, with Deacon Leo Sharon officiating.
Pallbearers are Doug Fischer, Scott Fischer, Dylan Jackson, Conrad Mabry, Wade Jackson, Grant Speakes, and Eric Mann. Honorary Pallbearers are the grandchildren.
