William Ruhlen Durrill
January 22, 1934 ~ April 8, 2016 (age 82)

On Friday, April 8th, 2016 we lost our dad, William “Dusty” R. Durrill. Dusty gave more to the world than he took, which is something we should all aspire to emulate.
This picture captures Dusty's essence, how he always lit up a room as he danced into it. Dusty made you feel special with his genuine concern and interest in your life. He never missed a chance to tell friends &family how proud he was of them. That was the kind of man, leader, friend, father and grandfather Dusty Durrill was.
Daddy, thank you for leaving this world a better place. You have inspired us all and touched even more than we will ever know. You will be with us forever. Please tell momma and Devary we say “Hi.”
Dusty passed at the age of 82. He was born on January 22, 1934 in El Paso, Texas (as he would say, he is a “true” Tex-Mex Gringo).
He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 plus years Sam Durrill and first born daughter Devary Durrill.
Survivors include Dusty’s wife Georganne Durrill, his family Micki D and James Gourley, Ginger Durrill, Bill and Shanda Durrill, Melissa and Shawn Holtz. Dusty’s grandchildren, Mckinna and Riley Gourley, Avery, Billy and Conner Durrill, Garrett and Kaden Holtz.
?Visitation will be held at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, April 11th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12th at First Baptist Church with Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
Please join Dusty’s family afterwards at the Corpus Christi Art Center to enjoy food, drinks and share memories.
