John Foy Couch(1926 - 2017)
COUCH, John Foy There was dancing in heaven on May 3, 2017 when Foy, age 90, went to meet his Lord and join the love of his life, Lu. He was born in Italy, TX on June 21, 1926 to Bessie Pearl and John Foy Couch, Sr. He graduated from Texas A & M University
after serving in the Air Force during World War II. He was Vice President and part owner of Lane Container Company for the majority of his working years. His favorite pass time was spent fishing and enjoying his family at his lake cabin. He was a teacher and
elder during his many years at East Dallas Christian Church. Foy faithfully served his church in roles too numerous to mention. Foy also served on the board and supported Juliette Fowler Communities and the Thai Foundation. He was preceded in death by his
wife of 68 years, Lucretia Couch. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Alecia and Doug Petty, granddaughters Paige Harwell and husband, Matt, and Jenna Brosette and husband, Ryan. His great-grandchildren Harper Harwell and Peyton and Barrett Brosette
were the apple of his eye and always brought a smile to his face. He is also survived by his dearest friends, Robert and Marcille McKelvy. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the many caregivers at Juliette Fowler Communities and Visiting
Nurses Association for their loving care of both Foy and Lu. The memorial service celebrating Foy's life will be held at East Dallas Christian Church, 629 N. Peak St., Dallas, TX on June 7th at 3:00 p.m.
