Jolly, Robert R. Saturday, April 29, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Gwendolyn (Brandhorst) Jolly. Loving father of Ernest Jolly, Steven (Doris) Jolly, Mark (Melissa) Jolly, and Sue Jolly (Karey) Van Sant; dear grandfather of Stephanie Van Sant, Alyssa (Jimmy) Keiner, Kelsey Cox, Kaci (Christopher) Gross, Grant Jolly, Brett Jolly, Alan Van Sant, Alexis Jolly, and the late Scott Jolly; dear uncle, great uncle and friend to many. Bob grew up in Coleman, Texas. In 1942, he left college after his first year to enlist in the U.S. Army. During WWII he served in the Signal Corps in the European Theater. After the war he completed his degree in Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University. He worked for over 30 years at McDonnell-Douglas where he specialized in aircraft fuel systems for several projects including the F-15 and F-18. In his personal time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, and spending time with his family. Services: A memorial service will be held at Lutheran Senior Services, Meramec Bluffs, in Ballwin, Missouri, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, in the chapel. The family will have a burial service in Sedalia's Memorial Park Cemetery on Sunday, May 21. Memorial contributions can be made to Kirkwood United Methodist Church or the Greater St. Louis Honor Flight. Arrangements by Bopp Chapel.
