Robert "Bob" Thomas Hancock Sr.

A celebration of Robert Thomas “Bob” Hancock, Sr.’s Life, age 56 of Richmond, will be at 2:00pm on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church of Jasper. Visitation will be from 5:00pm–7:00pm on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper.

Bob died April 28, 2017 at his home in Richmond, Texas. A native and longtime resident of Jasper and a former resident of Tomball. He was a 1978 graduate of Jasper High School. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Texas A & M University in 1982. He then earned a Master’s Degree in Banking from SMU Southwest School of Banking. He obtained his CPA Designation in 2003. He formerly worked as a CPA and Business Consultant with DRDA in Clear Lake, Texas, and was a principal with Hancock Business Solutions. He was an active member of the Downtown Houston Texas A & M Aggie Club. He served on the board of East End Chamber in Houston at the time of his death. He was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church of Richmond, Texas, where he was an active member of the men’s fellowship.

Bob is survived by his wife of over 33 years, Donna Daniels Hancock of Richmond, Texas; his mother, Sarah Ann Hancock Brannan of Jasper, Texas; three sons, Robert Thomas Hancock Jr, of Richmond, Texas, Brian Allen Hancock & wife Dot of Kingsland, Georgia, and Marcus Benjamin Hancock of Richmond, Texas; two daughters, Jennifer Hope Hancock and Madison Gail Hancock, both of Richmond, Texas; a brother, Ben Hancock, of Jasper, Texas, and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Ann Hancock Haverlah & husband, Steve, of Llano, Texas, and an uncle, Carl Thomas Bledsoe Jr and wife, Jo Ann, of Jasper, Texas. He is also survived by a host of other family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Robert Herman Hancock Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Robert Hancock Family Children Scholarship fund, Spirit of Texas Bank, 1100 West Main Street, Tomball, Texas 77375, Attention Dyanna McCoy.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
