William Jerry Jennings Sr.(1937 - 2017)
William Jennings Sr., 79, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017, after a long illness. Memorial service: At a later date. Jerry was born in Gorman, attended elementary through high school at Tom Bean and Sherman, and earned a business administration degree
from Texas A&M in 1959. Jerry had a long, fulfilling career with Boy Scouts of America beginning in 1960. He was district executive for the Longhorn Council in Fort Worth then moved to council executive in Erie, Pa., before returning to the National Council
in Irving as director of Employee Relations. He retired in 2004 and moved to Fort Worth where he and Murlene joined First United Methodist Church and enjoyed the many friends in their community. Jerry served on the first board of governors for their HOA. He
loved his family, telling stories (some of them true), having breakfast with many friends in town and his unusual golf putting stance. Survivors: Wife, Murlene; and sons, Robert "Bob" and William Jennings.
