Robert Earl Bond
November 11, 1933 - April 15, 2017

Lt Col Robert Earl Bond

Born November 11,1933 in Franklin, Texas to Willie and Lucile Bond.
Passed into his heavenly home April 15, 2017.

Robert, affectionately called Bob or Papa Bob, grew up in Monahans, Texas where he attended elementary and high school. After graduating from Texas A&M, Bob served the United States Army for 21 years, having attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. After serving his country, he moved to Tucson, Arizona where he worked for Southland Corporation for 18 years.

Bob married Kay Douglas and they raised three sons, David, Bobby, and Doug. Kay passed away in 1989. Bob then married Evelyn Linz in February, 1992. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary February 14, 2017.

Bob was loved by all, a very tender hearted and kind man. He loved sharing his faith in Jesus Christ and enjoyed teaching Bible classes. Bob was a part of the Gideon's for many years and was a long time member of Eastside Assembly of God in Tucson.

Bob is survived by his wife Evelyn; sister Charlene; sister-in-law Robin (Craig); daughter Jean; sons, David, Bobby (Mary Ann) and Doug; four step children, David (Corky), Steven (Kathy), Wesley and Cindy (Doug); by his grandchildren, Dustin, Jay, Danielle, Regina, Greg, Stephanie, Charity, Jonathan and Tim. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.

A celebration of Bob's life will be held at East Lawn Palms Mortuary on Thursday, April 20, 2017 with a viewing at 9:30am and service at 11:00am. Internment to follow.
