Dr. Samuel Muecke Jr.
Dr. Samuel F. Muecke Jr., 78, formerly of Wolfe City passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, in Birchwood Manor Care Center of Cooper, Texas.
Dr. Muecke was born on Feb. 6, 1939, in Galveston, Texas, to Samuel Franklin Muecke Sr. and Peggy Annis Holt. Dr. Muecke was a veterinarian in the Wolfe City area for many years.
Survivors are three sons, John Muecke and wife Penney of Commerce, Jimmy Muecke and wife Stephanie of Wolfe City and Charlie Muecke and wife Lisa of West Plains, Mo.; three grandchildren, Jake Muecke, Anna Corrine Muecke and Zane Belcher, along with one brother, Thomas Warren Muecke of Angleton, Texas.
Dr. Muecke was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, J.T. Muecke.
A memorial service for Dr. Muecke will be held Friday, Feb. 24, at 2 p.m. in the Cross Trails Cowboy Church in Fairlie, conducted by Gregg Horn.
The family will receive friends and relatives at the home of Jimmy and Stephanie Muecke following the memorial service.
