Michael Derrick Abraham
March 16, 1974 ~ April 10, 2017 (age 43)

Michael Derrick Abraham was born on March 16, 1974 at Women’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to John L. Abraham and Bertha Connally Abraham. In 1976, Michael and his family transferred to Houston where he attended Tice Elementary. He was baptized by the late Rev. Hayward Wiggins at the Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, Houston, Texas. Then in 1986, the family got another assignment and transferred to Hockessin, Delaware. Michael attended E.I. DuPont and in the 8th grade traveled to China with his class where he stood at the site of the Great Wall of China. He understood the value of hard work. At age eleven he had a paper route, a mowing business and a night shift job at McDonald’s. Yes, at McDonald’s and he was never late for work.

A few years later his family returned to Houston where Michael attended Cunningham Middle School and in 1992 graduated from Booker T. Washington Magnet School in Engineering. He graduated from Texas A & M with a degree in finance. Michael loved to travel. It was one of his greatest passions. His first job after college was with Enron, then Anderson and later a number of Oil and Gas producing companies. Currently, he worked for his friend John and last year established his own company. Michael was President and Chief Executive Officer of Oil & Gas Digital Ventures, Inc.
All of you his friends and family knew that he worked hard and played even harder. Michael had a big heart and an equally big smile. When he entered the room, he didn’t need to speak; his boisterous demeanor and beautiful smile said it all. We his family and friends gather today to bid him a farewell until we meet him again on the other side.

His beloved brother Nathan Bradley preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his passing his parents John and Bertha Abraham, sister Jaynacia Hale (Eric), his girlfriend Stephanie Ingle, son Zachary Ryan (mother Rosilyn), Aunt Celeste Clark (Leon), Aunt Gladys Swafford, Aunt Mary Ann Clark, Uncle James Abraham (Marie), Aunt Carrie Bridges, Uncle Mack Aaron (Rosilyn), his nieces, Stormy and Erica, and a host of relatives and friends who loved him.

Go with God Michael, Go with God
