Jimmy L. Fetters

February 1, 1940 - November 27, 2016

Jimmy L. Fetters, 76, of Beaumont, died Sunday, November 27, 2016. He was born on February 1, 1940, to Estelle Rachal Fetters and Alton Fetters, in Groves.

Survivors include his wife, Dr. Carol Fetters; daughter, Victoria “Tori” Schneider and her husband, Jim, of Hawaii; and grandsons, Austin Schneider and Jake Schneider.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Allen Fetters.

A gathering of Mr. Fetters’ family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, December 1, 2016, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church. A memorial mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His cremation was held through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Estelle and Allan Fetters Center A Place for Challenge Adults, 4601 Main Avenue, Groves, Texas 77619.

Actively involved teaching golf in Junior PGA.
Chair of Beaumont A&M Club golf tournament for many years.
