David A. Clark ~ NOW ~ Rejoicing In God's Presence.
Birth ~ April 24, 1939, ~ Died ~ March 2, 2017 ~ (a true Taurus the Bull ) NOW Rejoicing in God's Presence = Remember God made both Earth as well as Heaven
We can Rejoice In God's Presence together on Earth as well as in Heaven.

Parents, JC Clark & Mabel B. Clark, in Longview, Tx, grew up in Kilgore, attended Kilgore ISD - '56, Kilgore Jr. College, - '58, Graduated Texas A&M 1961, family consisted of a cherished Brother Bob J. Clark & sweet Sister, Rosemary Clark Bagwell. His career & extra training included Newspaper carrier, East Texas Lumber Co - Kilgore, Tennessee Gas Co. in Houston, Accounting @ Brown, Bronstad, & Habenicht, in Kilgore, 3 years as Business Director of Cyclotron Inst. @ Texas A&M. then returned to his beloved East Texas ~ 1966, as a Merchant & Independent Businessman, builder & real estate development, sort of retired in 2007. A man of many talents & interests. Married Patty Ready Clark, July 22, 1961, companion, sweetheart, mate & partner for 56 yr. 7 months. he acquired a sister in law, Honeygal R. Ready, Father to 3 fine sons, Joseph David Clark, Randell Travis Clark, & Patrick H. Clark, plus Granddaughter, Monica Clark Jastrow, grandsons Adam David Clark & Dustin Travis Clark, & the cherry on top Great Granddaughter Abigail Kathryn Jastrow. David was successful & positive, set a good example, a positive role model. kind, honest & fair. He wore many hats, Son, brother, classmate, husband, father, grandfather, neighbor & friend. We moved to Lake Cherokee ~ 1985, A Christian & member in good standing of The Church @ Lake Cherokee. His description is many faceted like a fine diamond, a real treasure, he loved nature, fishing, hunting, golf, was a writer of stories & verse, a man of good humor. 'He played well with others.' David A. Clark lived a full positive satisfying life. He was a Satisfied Man. I cannot say more, He was totally full Love, Compassion & Value. I am glad that he was here, as were his nieces, nephews, Friends & those we adopted along the way. Education continued his entire life, there was almost nothing he couldn't do nor repair. He came from Good Stock & lived in the perfect era. He was appreciative of God World & God's Word. ... He will be missed. ~ ~ patty r. clark ~ partner

David A. Clark was born on the north side of the Sabine River, however his life was primarily centered in Kilgore, Texas. Growing up years, learning years, then after about 5 to 7 years away we came back to East Texas where we settled in and also raised our family. The newspaper business & retail business was & is entrenched in our lives. He was proud to be a Kilgore Bulldog as well as a Kilgore Ranger. He often spoke of favorite teachers, Ms. Ira Duke 'Pinky' Hart, for one, Ms. Irene Hill, and Sue Martin Brown, who is still a resident of Kilgore. Ms. Hart was know to pull an item from her purse or a box & assign the class to write a paper on it. He enjoyed being a part of the Annual / the Reflector & newspaper / Mirror staff He said that the KISD high school teachers truly prepared students for their next steps into higher education. It was known that Mr. C. L. Newsome ran a tight ship at Kilgore High School.
He loved the town as well as the people of Kilgore as did I. We came back here in 1966, became involved in several retail ventures, lawn & garden sales & service, boat & motor sales & service, even a C-store with the best fried chicken ever. We [ David & Patty Clark ] raised our 3 boys here, we were proud to have them complete most of their education here kinder through 12th, plus Kilgore Jr. college. The KHS class of 1956 still gets together several times a year. Kilgore is a solid & comforting town to become a part of, so often natives spend their career years away, however they are drawn back 'home' to Kilgore, just as we were. The history of Kilgore & East Texas is special, warm & interesting. It and the Citizens molded our family in lots of ways. Kilgore & his strong family gave him a solid foundation.
What a change in our lives.
This morning ~~ March 2, 2017 @ 2:22 am ~~ My Favorite Fisherman launched his boat on God's beautiful Rainbow Lake, located over the Rainbow river. I will miss him so every day. It was always wonderful to come home to each other. 56 years & 7 months, This sunny spring day will be filled with beauty & fishing, & maybe a round of golf. He left with a giant Tackle Box, just filled with memories of a full successful life. Full of Love, accomplishment, friendships, & especially a loving partnership with his Brown eyed Sweetheart of 56 years & 7 months, Dave is & was a Satisfied Man in every since of the word. Faith, Family, Education, Business, Life has been a beautiful adventure. We woke up to the beauty of Lake Cherokee nearly everyday. We got to see the pelicans, wood ducks, the blue herons, (big ole mollys ) . We have been fortunate to live in super neighborhood, surrounded by with good friends. A new view appeared everyday, we never had to rehang pictures, it just changed and was new each day. God sure created a lovely world. People sometimes say 'RIP / Rest IN Peace', however a dear friend said he liked to think of it in a different version ... As I choose to. ... His thought was -- to be 'Rejoicing in the Presence of God' ... ~ ~ I thought about that and it certainly changed my thinking ... God created this World / Earth, just as he Created Heaven. So, with that in mind, Dave will be Rejoicing in the Presence of Godin Heaven, just a I will be Rejoicing in of God here on Earth. So now we can still rejoice together.
What a partner he has been, he had a solid moral compass, set a good balance, a positive guide & example for me and our three sons. What a wonderful life experience, since July 22, 2961. -- We grew and enjoyed & enjoyed life together. We brought sunshing & moonbeams into each other's life. What a lucky pair we have been. Life has been an adventure together. He lived life with zest. I will rejoice in the Joy of having such a partner, and life mate. Plus I will continue to delve into the 'Tackle Box' he left for us, just filled with joyful memories. Good advice, and the continued ZEST for Life as well as continuing education. He built a super foundation for our sons, Joseph David, Randell, & Patrick. He was always supportive for those around us, He enjoyed our Grand Children, as well as our pets. Dave was always Kind, Cheerful, & Helpful. Church, Faith, & Community were important. We have been well Blessed.
I, Patty Ready Clark, have been a lucky and Blessed woman.
