Charles Adolph Ramsel
October 15, 1918 - February 3, 2017
Charles Adolph Ramsel, 98 of Tyler, Texas and formally of Giddings, Texas, was born October 15,1918 in Gause, Texas to Albert and Louise (Hannes) Ramsel. Charles was married to Modena Burleson on June 20, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Charles passed away February 3, 2017 in Tyler, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Modena Ramsel; parents, Albert and Louise Ramsel; sister, Dorothy Peebles and her husband, Farley Peebles, and son in law, Robert Whitesides.
He is survived by his daughter, Charlotte Whitesides; 3 granddaughters, Barbara Lindbergh and her husband, Bill of Giddings, Deborah Neff and her husband, John of Florence, and Jennifer Green and her husband, Rick of Tyler; 5 grandchildren, Amanda Lindbergh of Grand Prairie, Phillip and Jeannette Lindbergh of Giddings, Sarah, Bradley and Josh Green of Tyler, and 1 great granddaughter, Alyson Lindbergh of Giddings.
The family would like to thank the Visiting Angels, Oakland Manor in Giddings, and Brookdale South in Tyler for the care given to Charles in the last several years.
There are no services planned at this time. A memorial will be held at a later date.
