David B. Drews

McAllen - David B. Drews, 60, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Doctors Hospital At Renaissance of Edinburg. Mr. Drews was born November 20, 1956 in Harlingen. He is the son of the late Kenneth and the late Lavern (Teston) Drews.
He was a resident of McAllen for many years. Graduated for Texas A & M University and worked as an Agricultural Engineer. He was a former member of Student Association of Texas A & M and Texas Agricultural Lifetime Leadership.
He is survived by his wife: Consuelo (Santos) Drews; six children: Austin Drews, Thays Fernandes, Amber Drews, Sylvia Fernandes, Anna Fernandes and Allie Drews; one grandchild: Regina Reyes; brother: Robert Drews and sister: Barbara Drews.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. www.riverafuneralhomes.net

David Bruce Drews
McAllen, TX - David Bruce Drews, 60 of McAllen, Texas passed away suddenly on January 29, 2017.
Born in Harlingen and raised in San Saba, Texas. David was the son of Kenneth Drews and Lavern Teston. He was a graduate of San Saba High School, Howard Payne University where he received a Bachelors of Science in Biology, and a member of the Texas A&M fighting
class of 1983 where he received a Masters of Science in Horticulture. In 1985 David began his professional career with Asgrow Seed Company spending 15 years with them, moving on to Hazera Seeds, Syngenta, Nexus, and lastly with DeRuiter a Monsanto Company.
On July 5, 2001, he married his best friend Chelito Santos, together they had 6 children; Austin, Thays, Amber, Sylvia, Anna, and Allie and one granddaughter Regina. David was a wonderful husband and father always putting his family's needs before his own.
A passionate fisher, hunter, and tennis player. He brought so much joy to everyone who knew him, he enjoyed every day to the fullest, his passion for life was contagious. Whoop!
