June 4, 1932 - January 20, 2017
Harold Walter Classen was born on June 4, 1932, in San Antonio, Texas, and went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. He is a veteran of the United States Army.

He grew up in San Antonio, graduating from New Braunfels High School, and also attended Texas A&M University. He met his future bride in San Antonio. They were married at Bracken United Methodist Church in San Antonio, on October 3, 1964.

He loved being outdoors, working on the ranch, gardening, baking cookies and bowling.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Udo H. and Frances A. Classen. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jeanie; daughter Kay Cittadine and her husband Steve; son Billy and his wife Kristina; grandchildren Josh Cittadine, Lexi Cittadine, and Mia Cittadine; brother Lawrence and his wife Pat; and sister-in-law Joyce Foster and her husband John Foster.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 24, at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 North Loop 1604 East, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. There will be a private graveside service for the family.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the caregivers of In Home Senior Care: Liz, Rosie, Janet, Monica, and others.

In lieu of sending flowers, the family requests donations be made to either the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (www.themmrf.org), the Bracken United Methodist Church Memorial Fund (www.bracken-umc.org), or the .
