Chester R. Cloudt Sr.
July 19, 1913 - January 12, 2017
Chester R. Cloudt, Sr. passed away in New Braunfels, Texas on Jan 12, 2017.
Born July 19, 1913; grew up on his family's ranch in Rockspring, Edwards County, Texas; graduated from Texas A&M University in 1938 with a B.S. degree in accounting; served as a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Force during WW II; retired Certified Public Accountant; life-long member of the Church of Christ. He is predeceased by his wife, Lucille Legendre Cloudt, October 26, 1986, his parents, Frank T., Jr. and Willie Page Cloudt, a sister, Wilma Cloudt and two brothers, Frank O. and D.L. Cloudt, both of Rocksprings. He is survived by a son, Chester R. Cloudt, Jr. and wife Julie K. Cloudt of Rockport, Texas, two daughters, Carolyn C. Plauche' of Georgetown, Texas and Kathleen C. Steffan of New Braunfels, Texas; eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, three great, great grandchildren, one neice and two nephews. Pallbearers Jeff Plauche', Brad Plauche', Holly Werth, Paige Meredith, Kelly Brown, Catherine Powell, Jason Steffan and Kim Araiza, all grandchildren.
Public visitation will begin 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 20, 2017 at Zoeller Funeral Home and will continue until service time. A funeral service will be held at noon on Friday, January 20th at Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas, the Reverend Ron Zipp, officiating, to be followed immediately by a reception at the funeral home.
A interment service will be held Saturday, January 21st, at 10:00 a.m. at the Garden of Memories Mausoleum in Kerrville, Texas. As a celebration of Chester's life, in lieu of flowers, it is suggested that donations be made to a favorite charity.
