DANVERS – Mr. Jerome B. Wilkin, 78, of Danvers, beloved companion of Jean Elliott, died Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford.
Born in Houston, Texas he was the son of the late Brahman H. and Josiephine (Rizzo) Wilkin. Raised and educated in Texas, he was a graduate of Beauvoir High School, Class of 1956 and continued his education at Texas A & M University where he received his bachelor's
degree in Insurance.
An honorably discharged veteran, Jerome proudly served our country as a member of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Wilkin had been employed for several years as a computer programmer for a variety of retail grocery stores in their payroll department until the time of his retirement.
In addition to his life companion Jean, Jerome is survived by his brother, Leonard Wilkin of Houston, TX and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Michael Wilkin.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held in the Chapel at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veteran's Hospital, (VA hospital campus) 200 Springs Rd, Bedford on Thursday, January 12th at 1 P.M. Assisting the family with arrangements is the Peterson-O'Donnell
