November 19, 1936 - December 6, 2016

On December 6, God called Charles Hardy, 80, formerly of Bryan-College Station, home to heaven.

Memorial Service will be December 30 at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Granbury, visitation following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the missions projects at First Baptist Church, Granbury, or Sagamore Baptist Church, Fort Worth.

Charles was born November 19, 1936, in Bruce, MS. In 1980 he moved to Denton, where he met and married his wife, Barbara.

He received his BBA degree from Texas A&M University and his MBA degree from Texas Woman's University. He was the Fiscal Vice President at Midwestern State and Stephen F. Austin universities. He was the golf coach at Midwestern State while serving as Vice President there. In 1996 he attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and became pastor of Midway Baptist Church in Jackson, MS. After retiring, he moved to Granbury where he served as supply and interim pastor at many of the Baptist churches in that area.

He was preceded in death by his parents, C. O. and Louise Hardy. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Steve and wife Monica; daughter, Cheryl and husband Bret Springer; brother, Carey Hardy and wife Pam; sister, Rebecca and husband Johnny Dittrich; 5 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
