1928 - 2016

James William Mast, age 88 of Temple died Wednesday, November 16, 2016 in a local care facility.
He was born on January 19,1928 in Laredo, Texas to Clifford A. and Eileen (Quick) Mast.
James married Mary Evelyn Holt in El Paso, Texas. They were married for 60 years.
He served his country in the United States Army during WWII and Korea. He was Catholic and lived in Temple since 1998.
He received his Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M , his Bar Degree from University of Texas, and was a member of the Texas Bar Association.
James is preceded in death by his wife – Mary Mast, his parents – Clifford and Eileen Mast, 1 brother – Clifford A. Mast Jr. and 1 sister – Patricia Westerman.
He is survived by 3 Step Sons – William Abney, Gerald Abney and Paul Hall, 1 Step Daughter – Jean Kelley, 2 nieces – Joan Mansfield and Susan Bell, and 2 nephews – Mark Westerman and James Westerman.
Interment of ashes will be at a later date. Hewett-Arney Funeral Home of Temple is entrusted with arrangements.
