Susan Marie Greenlee
November 9, 1962 - January 5, 2017

Susan Marie Greenlee 1962-2017
Susie's memorial service will be Saturday, January 21 at the Church of the Nazarene, 2122 E. W.J.B. Pkwy, Bryan TX, 77802 at 2pm. Fellowship meal following for all.

Susan Marie Dale was my first and only love. Born in Miles City, Montana, 11/09/1962 and raised in Casper, WY. I moved from Brownwood, TX to Casper, WY, in 1980 for oilfield work. We met at Casper Church of the Nazarene. She was a senior at Kelly Walsh High School. With a kiss she stole my heart and her beauty grew in my eyes. We were wed by my Grandfather, D.G. McCarty, August 1st, 1981, at Casper Church of the Nazarene. She would be Susan Marie Greenlee for over 35 years. We made our home in Casper and by age 19 she was the mother of our first child, James Frank, and her beauty grew in my eyes. We moved to Brownwood, TX in 1984 where I became a Brownwood Police Officer, and the last of our 3 children were born. First Ashley Marie, then David Kyle, and her beauty grew in my eyes. We moved to Bryan, TX in 1989 where I was a Police Officer, contractor for FedEx and a Pre-Trial Officer for Brazos County. Susie laughed, cried, yelled, protected and fiercely loved and raised our family. Her beauty grew in my eyes. Susie worked for the Corps of Cadets, Texas A&M. When our children were older Susie attended Texas A&M, graduating in 2002. Her beauty grew in my eyes. She became a Bryan ISD, science teacher showing her students the wonder that is our world. Her beauty grew in my eyes. Soon 10 years of teaching the children of Bryan passed, and though her desire to teach stayed strong, her body did not. Her beauty remained in my eyes. Too weak to teach she left the classroom and entered the world of being poked, prodded and cared for by doctors, nurses, hospitals and clinics. This would be our life for the next 4 years. Our last move was to Hamilton, TX in 2015. Here I worked at Brookshire Bros. Grocery. Her beauty remained in my eyes. On January 5th, 2017 at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, TX her beauty faded from my eyes as she left my embrace for God's hug. She is survived by me, her husband, David L. Greenlee, her father, Jim Dale, 3 children, 8 grandchildren, 3 brothers, 1 sister and many more family and friends that she dearly loved. I do so miss you gorgeous.

David
