Nathan Paul Johnston
March 26, 1975 - November 23, 2016
Nathan Paul Johnston, 41, died Wednesday, November 23, 2016. He was born on March 26, 1975, in Beaumont, Texas. Nathan graduated from Silsbee High School, Class of 1993, and from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor Degree. He was a reserve for the United States Marine Corp.
Survivors include his mother, Jane Powell and her husband, Charles, of Silsbee; father, Gilbert Johnston and his wife, Denice, of Toledo Bend; brothers, Mark Johnston, and Scott Johnston and his wife, Andrea, all of Silsbee; grandmothers, Grace Johnston and Sudie David, both of Silsbee; niece, Sheridyn Johnston of Silsbee; nephew, Matthew Johnston of Fred; stepbrothers, David Powell and his wife, Jill, of Silsbee; Darren Powell and his wife, Amanda, of Nome; and Kurt Balla and his wife, Michelle, of Silsbee; stepsister, Stacie McAdams and her husband, Tom, of Mont Belvieu; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and companion, Candace Phillips, of Lumberton. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, J.D. Johnston and Horace David, Jr.
A gathering of Nathan’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with his funeral service at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 27, 2016, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His interment will follow at Hardin Memorial Park, Silsbee.
