Herbert Ploch
November 9, 1921 - December 23, 2016

Herbert James Ploch of Memphis, TN, a World War II veteran and member of the greatest generation died on December 23, 2016. He was born November 9, 1921 in Nixon, Texas. Herbert and his wife Essie loved each other and remained the very best of friends throughout their 70 years of marriage. Herbert was a graduate of Texas A & M University – He loved the Aggies! He also enjoyed various careers during his long life. Herbert’s true passion was for (other than his family) the ham radio. He enjoyed the social, educational, and emergency service it provided in times of need. Despite his age, Herbert joined the computer era with the same passion. He became quite a techie.

Herb is survived by three sons: Florian Ploch (Colleen) of Napa, California; Nick Ploch (Donna) of Memphis, TN; and Tom Ploch (Beth) of Memphis, TN. He also had 7 grandchildren.

Family members request any memorials be sent to the charity of the donors choice.
