Don Lee Corley Jr.(1954 - 2016)
Don Lee Corley Jr., 61, passed away Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, in Fredericksburg. Memorial service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Lighthouse Fellowship Church, 7200 Robertson Road, Fort Worth, 76135. Reception: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, at Greenwood Live Oak Room. Don Lee was born Dec. 7, 1954, in Fort Worth. Son of Don Corley Sr. and Margaret Ann Walker (Harris, Corley), he graduated from Boswell High School in 1973 as an Eagle Scout. Don married Sandra K Christian on July 24, 1976, in Fort Worth at the Botanical Gardens. This year they celebrated 40 wonderful years together. Don graduated from Texas A&M in 1977 with a BS in Animal Science. He and Sandra then settled in Azle to raise their three children. Don was a successful business owner over the years in industries ranging from insurance to energy. For the last few years, he worked closely with his dear friend, Keith Hoover, at KWH Consulting. He loved to travel, take pictures, and experience all life had to offer. He adeptly captured life's moments through the lens, and shared them proudly with all of us. Don was a strong, dedicated family man, who loved to spend time with his family and friends. He adored his children and grandchildren, and the love they shared is truly beyond measure. A friend to everyone, he will be remembered for his easy-going, positive outlook, never-ending supply of jokes, and his talent for encouraging others. To those who knew him best, it seemed that he could do anything and was prepared for everything. Don was preceded in death by his sister, Julie Allen; mother-in-law, Nadine Christian; brother-in-law, Scott Christian; and niece, Taylor Bradshaw. Survivors: Wife, Sandra K Corley; sons, Brent Wicker and wife, Paige, Justin Corley and wife, Jessica; daughter, Nicole Dawson and husband, Sean; honorary daughter, Jennifer Henson and husband, Ki; grandchildren, Lily Wicker, Abby Young and Jace Dawson; father, Don Corley Sr. and wife, Linda; mother, Margaret Walker and husband, Don; brother, Rocky Corley; sister, Gina Emerton and husband, Dave; father-in-law, Paul Christian; brothers-in-law, David Christian, Greg Christian and wife, Jaclyn, Stanley Christian and wife, Samantha; sister-in-law, Shannon Christian; brothers, Mike Walker, Monty Walker and wife, Patsy; sisters, Robin Bell and husband, Chuck, Rebel Voss and husband, Phillip; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless friends.
