Michael Francis Flahie(1946 - 2016)
January 4, 1946 - December 22, 2016
Michael Francis Flahie 70 passed away December 22, 2016. Born January 4, 1946 in Baton Rouge, LA to John Flahie and Patricia Flahie. Michael lived all over the world, spoke 7 languages. He earned a B. S.in Physics at Texas A&M, working several major companies such as Motorola and MSC. At MSC in California he published a major article on microwave transistors. He earned his M. S. at UT at El Paso where he developed his patent.
Michael worked as the Chief Operations of the United States Army Medical Information Technology Center in the Great Plains and southern regional from 1995 - 2011.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 35 years, LaVada Flahie. Children: John Michael Flahie, Dustin Flahie and wife Laura, and Melissa Garrett. Grandchildren: Danny, Ryan, K. T, Maya, and Nicholas. Brother: William Flahie and wife, Lesley. Sisters: Patricia McClelland, June Flahie and husband, Kalman . Brother-in-law: Lyle Flora. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends.
He was a Soccer coach and referee for a number of years.
A Memorial Service will be held at Schertz Funeral Home 11:00am, on December 28, 2016.
