William Stanley " Stan" Chambers, age 60, passed away on December 22, 2016 at the Baylor Scott and White hospital in Round Rock, Texas. Stan was born in Haskell, TX on January 13, 1956 and graduated from Rochester High School. Stan continued his education at
Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Ag Economics, class of 1978. Stan worked as a salesman for Quality Equipment Company in San Antonio before moving to Georgetown to be the general manager for Bobcat of Austin.
Stan actively volunteered with the Boy Scouts and enjoyed teaching hunters education classes in Georgetown and Cotulla with his friend and co-teacher, Chris Meyers. His passions included the outdoors, grilling, making sausage, and Texas A&M football. He also
loved going to the lake and Texas A&M football games with his cousin, Wade Hodgin, and family. He was known for his willingness to help others and cheerful sense of humor.
Stan is preceded in death by his parents William and Louise Chambers. Stan is survived by his wife Michele Chambers, and his children Joseph Chambers (age 21), Hannah Chambers (age 18), and Joanna Chambers (age 16). He is also survived by his sister, Martha
Nell Evans and husband Bob Evans.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas. The funeral service will take place Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Crestview Baptist Church,
2300 Williams Drive, Georgetown and will be followed by interment at Andice Cemetery, 6957 FM 970, Florence, Texas.
