Billy Holmes, of Groesbeck, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple at the age of 60.A Celebration of Life will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, December 17, in the First Baptist Church of Mexia with Pastor Jimmy Cotton and the Rev. Marcus Sheffield officiating.

Billy is survived by his wife, Charla Holmes of Groesbeck; sons, Andy Holmes and wife, Roni, of San Antonio, and John Holmes and wife, Megan, of Groesbeck; daughter, Lauren Holmes and Chad Mizell of Corsicana; mother, Elenor Holmes of Mexia; brother, Marc Holmes of Donie; sister, Jean Holmes of Fairfield; granddaughter, Charlee Kaye Holmes of Groesbeck; and niece, Reagan Bates and husband, Larry, of Mexia.
