June 27, 1956 - June 27, 2016
Friends are invited to a Memorial Celebration of Life planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, December 18, at 3425 Greens Prairie Road West in College Station. He will be interred alongside his parents in Wellborn Cemetery at a later date. Stephen J. Magyar, of College Station passed away June 27, 2016, on his sixtieth birthday of natural causes.

Stephen was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Stephen and Helen Magyar. He and his family later moved to Texas. Stephen attended Texas A&M University where he received his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees. In 1990 he earned his Ph.D.

A true Renaissance man, Stephen enjoyed wood and leather working, and had an interest in astronomy. He also enjoyed coin and stamp collecting. Stephen operated Raygam, an exotic animal breeding business.

He was preceded in death by his parents. An only child, Stephen considered his friends to be his family. He will be deeply missed.
