Charles Thomas Haynes, Jr.

January 22, 1958-December 1, 2016

Charles Thomas Haynes, Jr. “Chuck” was born on January 22, 1958 in Bethesda, MD. After growing up in Tyler, TX and graduating from high school in Manitoba, Canada, he attended Texas A&M University. He graduated from A&M in 1980 after having spent four years in the Corps of Cadets. Chuck attended Officer Candidate School and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1980-1985. Chuck managed grocery stores, raised beef cattle, homeschooled his children, was a skilled carpenter and, most recently, raised honey bees as an apiarist.

Chuck married the love of his life, Glenda Schultz in 1981 and they were happily married until the time of his death. Chuck is survived by his wife Glenda, son Joseph, daughter Natalie and her husband Damon, his granddaughters Molly Mae and Ada, his brother David and sister Carolyn, as well as his father Charles Haynes, Sr.

The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, you send a donation to the Charles T. Haynes Jr. ‘80 Scholarship Fund at Texas A&M www.aggienetwork.com/give/memorialgiving to benefit underprivileged Eagle Scouts serving in the Corps of Cadets.
