Fred Leslie Hazlewood
July 9, 1934 - November 20, 2016
Fred L. Hazlewood Jr.
Born in Texarkana and a longtime resident of Fort Worth, Fred passed away in Knoxville, TN on Sunday, November 20, 2016. Fred graduated with a B.A. from Texas A&M and retired from General Dynamics after 30 years. He went back to the family business of making candy. Fred’s “Hazlewood candy” was found across North Texas. Fred was a loving husband and father, avid bowler, fisherman, duck hunter, and farmer.
He is survived by son Victor Hazlewood, daughter Dina Riley-Burke, step son Gary Priddy, wife of 49 years Jean Hazlewood, three grandkids, five great-grandkids, and was preceded in death by step son E. Douglas Priddy.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 3, 2016, at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 P.M. Saturday at Texarkana Funeral Home.
