Frank Cabrini Scarmardo, 65, of Columbia, South Carolina, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 28, 2016. Born in Bryan, Texas, Frank was the son of the late Rosalie (Labarba) Scarmardo and the late William Carl Scarmardo. Frank graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Bryan and then Texas A&M University in College Station as well as the University of Texas Health Science Center in Dallas. Frank enjoyed a long career in the health care field, first as a Physicians Assistant and then transitioning into healthcare administration.

Frank was devoted to his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marcia Cook Scarmardo; children Jennifer Scarmardo Bradley of Waco, Texas, Katie Scarmardo Spoon and husband Jeffrey of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Leigh Anne Scarmardo Ng and husband Bryan of Proctorville, Vermont, and by his stepsons, Forrest Snipes and his wife Frances, Ranson Snipes and his wife Meghan, all of Lexington, South Carolina. Surviving grandchildren are TJ Bradley of Waco, Josephine Spoon of Charlotte, Sophia Ng of Proctorville, and Wilson and Wade Snipes of Lexington. Frank is also survived by his Godparents, Marion "Red" and Angie Scarmardo of Bryan, Texas and his Godson, William Carl Scarmardo, lll, of College Station, Texas.

Also surviving are Frank's siblings, Sara Scarmardo Fazzino of Bryan, Texas, Steve Scarmardo and wife Lunetta of Bryan, Texas, Bill Scarmardo of Caldwell, Texas, and Lillian Scarmardo Hughes and husband Tom of College Station, Texas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Carl and Rosalie Scarmardo and by his brother in law, Lee Fazzino, Sr. and sister in law, Patricia Mancuso Scarmardo and his nephew Cooper G. Dibrell.

Visitation for Frank will be held Tuesday, November 8,, 2016, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home in Bryan, Texas, with a rosary beginning at 6:00 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 pm Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Bryan, Texas. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Bryan.

The Scarmardo family would like to express their sincere thanks and gratitude for the care provided to Frank from the nurses at Palmetto Health Richland and Palmetto Health Hospice.
