Dr. Tim Mason, 86, of Stephenville, passed away Friday, October 21, 2016, in Stephenville
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Hillcrest Church of Christ with Frank Brisco officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Stephenville

Tim was born on April 26, 1930 in Hereford, Texas, to the late Homer B. and Naomi Aldridge Mason. He married Bettie Louise Justice, March 31, 1953 in Abilene, Texas and together they brought up three children. Betty preceded him in death On July 4, 2003. On
June 19, 2004 in Morgan Mill, Tim married Patricia Winder with whom he spent the rest of his life.
Tim attended school in Plainview, Texas until he was ten years old, graduating from Abilene High School in 1948. He attended and graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1953, Texas Tech University in 1955, and Texas A & M University in 1963. Tim then
began teaching others at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Abilene Christian University, and Tarleton State University, where he taught Animal Science for twelve years. Tim resided in Erath County for many years. He was a member of the Stephenville
Country Opry, Morgan Mill Senior Citizens Center, and the American Feed Industry Association. He also gave of his time as President of the Board of Directors of Stephenville Foster's Home for Children, an elder at Graham Street Church of Christ, and minister
at Morgan Mill Church of Christ. Tim enjoyed writing and was an author of several books.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Mason of Stephenville; daughters, Jacque and husband Gary Rogers of Quanah, son, Jeff and wife Jenna Mason of Coppell; step-daughters, Sherry Lawson of Lake Dallas, Sandra Henry of Cedar Hill, and Katherine Fischer of Davenport,
Iowa; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren
In addition to his parents; and his first wife, Betty; Tim was also preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Cornutt; brothers, Roy Mason, Henry Mason, twins, Mick and Wick Mason, Al Mason, and Johnny Mason; and a sister, Jewell Poage.
The family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to The Foster's Home for Children, P. O. Box 978, Stephenville, Texas, or to Hillcrest Church of Christ.
