Courtney Brianne Lasater
June 17, 1980 - October 18, 2016

Courtney Bax Lasater was born June 17, 1980 in Houston, Texas. Surrounded by family and friends, she left us October 18, 2016.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Lasater and their son, Evan Lasater, her parents, Joe and Michele Bax, her sister, Brittani Bax Springer, her husband, Phil, their sons, Jonathan and Matthew, her father in law, Ed Lasater, her mother in law, Jan Lasater, her sister in law, Julie Beal, her husband, Colin and their daughter, Caroline.

Courtney’s entire life focused on family and friends. She always gave more of herself than what was required. She inspired us all to live our lives the way she lived hers, with joy and laughter. In the process, she became a large part of the lives of everyone who knew her. Metastatic breast cancer never diminished that. It only expanded her circle of friends and provided more opportunities for her to warm the lives of others. Her story was written long before she got here. She played the hand that she was dealt with grace and dignity. She leaves us with the same quiet ease and comfort that she always brought with her, a life well lived.

“For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course, I have kept the Faith” : 2 Timothy 4, 6, 7.

Courtney was a graduate of Allen Academy. She received her Bachelors and Masters at Texas A & M University. In lieu of flowers, you might consider a contribution to one of Courtney’s Favorite charities. They are Metavivor, Theresa’s Research Foundation, Noreen Frasier Foundation and Breast Cancer Resource Center.

Funeral Service will be on Monday, October 24, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 1004 North Mays Street, Round Rock, Texas 78664. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery, 330 Berry Lane, Georgetown, Texas 78626
