Marla Kay Wilson
September 17, 1963 - October 14, 2016
Wish to announce the sad passing of Marla Kay Wilson. Marla left us on the night of October 13, 2016.
Marla graduated in 1981 from Tolleson Union High School, here in Arizona. She went on to college at Texas A&M where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1986. After moving back to Arizona she became a chemist and began her career working with Tempe and later, her current position at the Glendale Water Treatment Facility.
Marla enjoyed her little house in Glendale which she and her Dad remodeled together. Marla’s interests included; former equestrian, avid bird watcher, bicycling, skiing and hiking. Marla had an amazing love and connection with all animals especially her cats. Marla was funny, smart and generous to a fault. She loved her family, friends, cat, turtle and community. She took special interest in keeping a watchful eye on Glendale’s drinking water. Marla enjoyed many co-workers over the years and made many close friends.
She will be missed by all of us, especially her Dad, Bill and cat, Samantha. She will be missed by everyone way more than she could of known.
