Paula M. Michal-Johnson, 67, of Fountain Hill, died Friday, October 14,2016 at the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke's, Lower Saucon Twp. She is the wife of David L. Johnson. She was born in Wichita Falls, TX on October 7, 1949 to the late James Franklin and Mildred Mae (Travis) Smithson. Paula was a Reiki teacher owning and operating Classical Reiki of Pennsylvania. She was a Shihan in Jikiden Reiki. Paula received a Ph.D. in organizational communication from the University of Denver in 1981. She had been a professor of communication at Texas A&M University, Lehigh University, and at Villanova University, with specialties in organizational and health communication. Survivors: In addition to her loving husband of 33 years; daughters: Elisabeth Johnson of Washington, D.C., Gwendolyn L. Rehrig of Somerset, N.J.; siblings: Floyd G. Smithson of Citrus Heights, CA, Lena F. Smithson of Henrietta, TX. Predeceased by a brother: Lloyd D. Smithson. Services: A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
