Charles D. Berry, Jr. '41, 94, of Dallas died December 4, 2015. He was a member of the "fighting" Texas Aggie band during his college career. Marched in both the Rose Bowl and the Sugar Bowl during the football championship years of the late 30's and early
40's. He also played in the Aggieland Dance Band during his years in College Station. After graduation he enlisted in the army at the beginning of World War II. He served his country along with the other members of the "greatest generation" and was discharged
after the war with the rank of captain. He married his high school sweetheart and began his civilian career with jobs with the East Texas Chamber of Commerce and became the first personnel manager for year book publisher, Taylor Publishing Co. Eventually,
he started his own business in the dry cleaning and laundry industry. He retired from the retail service business in 1985 and moved to Holly Lake Ranch in east Texas. Survivors: two sons, Charles D. III and Robert
