Tillman Lorenzo Wheat, Jr.
June 1, 1923 - October 4, 2016

Tillman Lorenzo Wheat Jr passed peacefully from this world to
be with The Lord in the early evening hours of October, 4 2016. His wife Nancy of 67 years was holding his hand; his two sons Buck and Mike were at his bedside.

Buck loved God and Country. During WWII, he fought for
freedom in the Battle of the Bulge, contributed to the liberation of the Dachau concentration camp, and was honorably discharged from the Army as Captain in 1946.

A consummate family man, Buck balanced a 37 year career with
Texaco and a rich relationship with his family. He is deeply
loved by his great-grandchild, grandchildren, children, wife,
siblings, and extended family members.

The world knows this man by many names: TL, Junior, Buck,
PawPaw, Poppy. The Lord knows him for his commitment to
faith, integrity, compassion, and the spirit with which he lived his life on this earth. We celebrate his exceptional life, and hold up his memory as an inspiration for our family that will never be forgotten.

Buck is survived by his wife, Nancy Elizabeth Wheat.
