JAMES FEARS ROSBOROUGH (Age 87)
The son of James and Martha Rosborough of College Station, TX, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at home in Potomac, MD with his loving wife, Cynthia by his side. He is survived by his sister, Ann Hallmark of El Paso, TX; children, Susan Rosborough,
of Short Hills, NJ, Bradley Rosborough, of Irvine, CA and Robert Rosborough, of Mahwah, NJ; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Jim's first wife, Norma Jean, was a loving mother to Susan, Brad and Robert before illness cut short her life. He
married Cynthia in 1999, his cherished wife for the rest of his life. Born in Bryan, TX, Jim received his Bachelor's degree at Texas A&M. He then earned his Medical degree at University of Texas, Galveston. Following graduation, he joined the Navy in 1952
and made it a career. He worked as an ophthalmologist for many years in the Navy, completing his duties in 1971 before opening his own practice in Rockville, MD. In 1978 Jim, Norma Jean and others co-founded Mid-Atlantic Medical Services, Inc, (MAMSI), now
a part of United Health Group. Jim served as President and Chairman of MAMSI at various times and was also an active board member and Chairman for Asbury in Gaithersburg, MD for many years. An avid traveler, Hawaii was his favorite spot. He loved his hunting
dogs, great wines and interesting conversations.
