Kimberly Anna Anderson Mayer(1965 - 2016)
MAYER, Kimberly Anna Anderson Unexpectedly, Kimberly Anna Anderson Mayer passed away September 29th, 2016. She was born to her loving parents Wanda Perry & Reyburn Upshaw Anderson in 1965 in Dallas, Tx, and then a living in Plano graduating from Plano East. An accomplished rider, she grew up in the saddle, winning many hunter events and playing polo. An A&M undergraduate, Kim went on to attend SMU's Dedman School of Law where she met her husband, Ken Mayer and moved to McKinney. An ardent advocate for others, she spent many years as a top prosecutor for Collin County, helping protect the citizens of Collin County. After leaving the District Attorney's Office, she remained in private practice helping kids as an attorney ad-litem and a special appointee of the courts in troubled children cases. Her family was her real passion. She was always supportive of whatever they were trying to achieve. Her ability to get involved and solve the problem will be missed. With a great sense of adventure that took them around the world, she lived life to the fullest and has left a legacy of memories and photos to guide her children forever. She is survived by her husband and love of her life, Ken Mayer, her children, Tyler and Clark, her father, Reyburn Anderson, her brother, Jeff Anderson, and her in-laws Betty and Richard Mayer. She was predeceased by her mother, Wanda Anderson, who battled cancer over 40 years. A celebration of Kim's life will be held Thursday, October 6th, 2:00 pm, at Custer Road United Methodist Church with a reception following at their home.
