Roy Berdine Riggs

Roy Berdine Riggs, Jr. passed away on September 27, 2016 at age 91 in Dallas Texas. He was born in Dallas on Nov. 12, 1924 to Roy B. and Stella Riggs. He was a graduate of Sunset High School and Texas A&M University, and served in the U.S Army Corps of Engineers.
He spent his career as a Petroleum Engineer with Humble Oil, James A. Lewis Engineering, and with his own firm Riggs and Associates. He was a life-long member of the Church of Christ, serving as a deacon, an elder and Bible class teacher. He loved singing
hymns, even in his final years. He is survived by his wife, Joyce, sons Mark (Debbie) Riggs of Abilene and Bruce Riggs of Richardson. He is also survived by his sister Edith Pulley, grandchildren Katie (Matt) Maxwell and great-grandson Henry Maxwell, Will
(Courtney) Riggs, Benjamin Riggs and Elizabeth Riggs, and nephews Richard Pulley and Tom Pulley. Burial will be a private ceremony at DFW National Cemetery with a public memorial service on October 22 at 1:00 PM at Prestoncrest Church of Christ in Dallas.
