David Bolfing passed away on September 19, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born on February 22, 1959 in Dallas, TX to Robert and Mary Frances Bolfing. David is survived by his wife (Maria Bolfing) and five children, the two eldest of which are from a previous marriage. (Travis Bolfing age 25, Bianca Bolfing age 22, Natasha Bolfing age 17, David Bolfing Jr. age 11, and Robert Bolfing age 5). David graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and went on to develop a very successful career in the oil and gas industry. His career took him all over the world and wherever his feet touched the ground, he made a lasting impression. Throughout his life, David had a passion for the great outdoors and all of the beauty that nature had to offer. He passed this tradition down to his oldest son and was continuing the process of passing it down to the younger children as well. David was fortunate to have also had a successful hunting and fishing career as well. When he wasn't working or in the outdoors, David spent his time with his family and friends. Everyone that knew him well was always fascinated to hear his stories and take his keen advice to heart. David developed health issues five years ago and throughout that time, he fought courageously against his declining health. He kept a sound mind along with a strong will and never gave up until he could fight no longer. There are not enough words to sum up how great of a man he was and he will forever be in our hearts. His advice to anyone who was struggling was " Never give up, don't you ever give up", wise words from a brilliant man. He will forever be with his children and give them the strength and courage to navigate through this life until the day that we will all see him again. We love you Dad and we will see you again one day. The Family will receive friends on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 5pm to 8pm at Metcalf Funeral Directors at 1801 E. White Oak Terrace, Conroe, TX. Graveside service will be Saturday, September 20, 2016 in Garden Park Cemetery at 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX.
