Frank Michael "Mike" Deville
1960-2016
Mr. Frank Michael (Mike) Deville went home to the Lord on the evening of Thursday, September 15th, 2016, at the age of 55, in The Woodlands, Texas. He was surrounded by family, friends, and much love.
Mike Deville was born in San Jose, California on December 10th, 1960. He was the youngest child and only son of Frank and Delores (Steever) Deville. He was a 1978 graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School in San Antonio, Texas and a 1984 graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. Mike obtained his Professional Engineering license. Mike traveled the world pursuing his career in Petroleum Engineering, with positions in Denver, Colorado; Calgary, Canada; and Houston, Texas. On November 15, 2008, he married the love of his life and best friend, Lisa Marie Brietzke. It was his warm heart and ability to make Lisa laugh that brought them together.
Mike had a beautiful, sweet soul, which he demonstrated by being a loving husband and generous and loyal friend. His wife was his best friend and he was hers. Their love was evident in the loving home that they built and the way they were always at each other's side, holding hands. He made friends wherever he went, whether it was on vacation or getting coffee. His impact on those he touched will never be forgotten. His warm heart was not just for people; Mike loved animals and rescued many strays. Over his life he had numerous dogs, cats, birds, and even a skunk as pets.
Mike lived his life to the fullest, pursuing his many avocations with passion and joy. Among them were fly fishing, riding motorcycles, and traveling with his wife. He also appreciated craftsmanship which was demonstrated in the furniture he made and hours he spent researching watch making.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Frank Deville. He is survived by his beloved wife of 7 years, Lisa of The Woodlands, Texas; mother, Delores Deville of San Antonio, Texas; sisters, Debra Deville (Barry Miner) of Falls Church, Virginia, Lisa Petrosky (Charles John) of San Antonio, Texas, Suzanne Jackson (Rick) of Sterling, Virginia; father-in-law, Richard Brietzke of Sugar Land, Texas; brother-in-law, Danny Brietzke (Julie) of New Waverly, Texas; sister-in-law, Leslie Guerra (Ivan) of Spring, Texas. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and a host of friends, as well as his well-loved pets, his dog, Belle, and his cat, Jada.
A visitation and Rosary are scheduled from 6:00-8:45 pm, Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Forest Park Funeral Home, The Woodlands, Texas.
