photoRonald Wayne Klepper, 72, of Naperville, Ill., died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016 following a six-month battle with glioblastoma. Ron was born Dec. 20, 1943 in Miami, Ariz. and grew up in Venezuela and Texas. A graduate of Permian High School in Odessa, Texas, he received a Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1968-1970. He was a registered professional engineer and worked at Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America for 30 years. He was most recently employed at EN Engineering of Warrenville, Ill. A 40-year resident of Naperville, Ill., Ron was a longtime and active member of Grace United Methodist Church. He coached Little League, soccer and basketball, taught Sunday school and was active in youth scouting. He was a longtime fan of the Chicago Cubs. He leaves behind many cherished coworkers, neighbors, friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, RV and Lelia Klepper of Abilene, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Katy Klepper of Naperville, son Matthew Klepper and his wife Stacy of Downers Grove, Ill., son David Klepper of Albany, N.Y., son Paul Klepper of Lawrence, Kan., as well as five grandsons, Andrew, Ethan and Michael Klepper of Downers Grove and Isaac and Elliot Marks of Tel Aviv, Israel. A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17 at Grace United Methodist Church, 300 E Gartner Rd, Naperville, IL 60540.
