1935-2016
Arthur Edward Pinson, Jr., 81, of the Woodlands, Texas, passed away on August 27, 2016, at home with his family.
He was born in Dallas, Texas, on April 11, 1935, and was married to Edna Moye Pinson on October 7, 1960. He achieved two degrees at Texas A&M University and spent his working career in the petroleum business. During his career he worked for various companies including Shell, Mobil, Chevron and Occidental and in such places as Indonesia, Scotland, South America, China, and Russia. After retirement, he and Edna moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, and then settled in the Woodlands.
He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and the Prime Time Guys. He also very much enjoyed bicycle riding, travel, and history, especially the Civil War.
He is survived by daughters Carole Ruthardt and Rebecca Pinson; grandchildren, Angela Pagel, Karen Black, Amy Ruthardt, Darrell Oliver and Sarah MacNiven; and great grandchildren, Tyler Austin, Brandon Pavlacka, Channa Wee Oliver, and Emily Black.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Edna, and one daughter Lora Jean Oliver.
A memorial service will be held at four o'clock, on September 17, 2016, at Trinity Episcopal Church, The Woodlands, 3901 South Panther Creek Drive, The Woodlands, Texas, 77381. To leave your online condolence to the family, please visit our website at www.forestparkthewoodlands.com.
