Col. Ernest E. Hendrix U.S. Army retired 93 of Tyler passed away Thursday September 16 2010. Arrangements are with Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home. Col. Hendrix was born November 8 1916 in Mary Pearl to the late Ernest and Loribell Philips Hendrix Sr. He was a professor for Tyler Junior College and a member of First Baptist Church in Tyler. Preceded in death by his wife Lucille Hendrix a son Clyde Hendrix and four brothers Survivors include sons E. Dee Hendrix and Holly Hendrix 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
