Jason Ross Lovel
February 11, 1980 - August 28, 2016

Jason Ross Lovel, age 36 of Carrollton, TX, passed away August 28, 2016. He was born on February 11, 1980 in Victoria, TX to Kevin Ross and Janice Kay (Haggerton) Lovel. Jason graduated Magna Cum Laude from Victoria High School in 1998. After high school, he attended Texas A&M University in College Station, and graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Jason was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. He worked for Schneider Electrical for 13 years, as well as being the founder of “Sounds Like”, which organizes charity events and fundraisers. Jason loved to travel, and he had just returned from a month long visit to India, where he studied the art of Yoga and the Indian culture. He was a free spirit and an adventurous young man with a zest for life, and he lived every day to the fullest with his positive attitude. Jason will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

"There are no boundaries. Explore in between those perceived limits, if they exist for you. Dive deeper into pushing past the perceived edges. Color, create, think and believe outside the lines. There is much to learn inside the society stricken barriers, but beyond that is a place of eternal peace…it may be fleeting at times, and it may be just at the fingertips; but the soul can only know the truth." ~ Jason 8/21/16

The following was Jason's inspiration and the way he lived his life every day.

“Every day, think as you wake up, Today, I am fortunate to have woken up. I am alive. I have a precious human life. I am not going to waste it. I am going to use all my energies to develop myself, to expand my heart out to others, to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings. I am going to have kind thoughts towards others. I am not going to get angry or think badly about others. I am going to benefit others as much as I can.” ~ The Dalai Lama

Jason is survived by his parents, Kevin and Janice Lovel; brother, Chad Randall Lovel; niece, Skylar Lovel; grandmothers – Geraldine Lovel and Wilma Rawlinson; great-grandmother, Elsie Dohman.
