Robert James "Bob" Medler
April 7, 1950 - August 28, 2016
Robert James “Bob” Medler, 66, went to be with the Lord on August 28, 2016. He was born April 7, 1950 in Mesa, Arizona. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He graduated with Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from Texas A&M. He was a member of Germantown Baptist Church. He was a Director of Remediation at W. R. Grace.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Brenda Medler; son, Bruce Medler (Serena); granddaughter, Skye Medler; and brothers, Dennis Medler (Tami) and Stevon Medler. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Butch Medler and Shirley Medler. He was very loved.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, August 31 and funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, September 1 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. The family requests memorial donations be sent the Boy Scout Troop 368 or the Houston High School band program’s Jim Smith legacy fund.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, "Celebrating Life Behind the Stone Wall".
