Jeffrey Sebesta
November 30, 1953 - August 19, 2016

Jeffrey Gerard Sebesta, age 62, of Bernardo, Texas passed away on August 19, 2016 in Katy, Texas.

Jeff was born on November 30, 1953 in Columbus, Texas. He was the third of eight children born to George and Valentina Sebesta. Jeff graduated from Columbus High School in 1972. He joined the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M University and graduated in 1976 with a degree in wildlife and fisheries sciences.

Jeff served in the United States Army Reserve from 1976 through 1984. In April of 1979 Jeff joined Shell Exploration and Production Company in Sheridan, Texas as a process and data analyst, and continued employment, primarily in the Houston area, through the time of his passing.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sharon Kiel Sebesta of Bernardo, Texas; as well as their children, Marti Kubena and husband, Captain Bryan Kubena, of Elgin, Oklahoma; Sarah Schneider and husband, Sean of Spring, Texas; Hayley Myrow and husband, Keenan of Cypress, Texas; Kiel Sebesta of Bryan, Texas; and Hilda Sebesta of College Station, Texas; his beloved grandchildren, Braden, Anabelle, Georgia and Lola Kubena of Elgin, Oklahoma, and Sawyer and Sela Schneider of Spring, Texas.

Jeff is also survived by his seven siblings, Larry Sebesta and wife Jodi, Steve Sebesta, Mary Beth Tromblee and husband Doug, Carl Sebesta and wife Patti, Jean Condra and husband Sam, Lori Grawunder, and Allicyn Robinson and husband Bryan; sister-in-law, Shirley Glueck and husband Pat; and brother-in-law, David Kiel and wife M’Lissa.

Jeff enjoyed taking his grandchildren on tractor rides; discussing electric cars and solar panels; and cultivating his landscapes of native Texas grasses and flowers.

Recently Jeff found great joy in remodeling his childhood home for his own family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, August 25, 2016, 6:00 pm at St. Roch Catholic Church Parish Hall in Mentz, TX.

Memorials in his memory are suggested to Bernardo Volunteer Fire Department, 2845 FM 949, Cat Spring, TX 78933; or St. Roch Catholic Church, 1600 Frelsburg Rd., Alleyton, TX 78935.
