Dr. Robert Wayne Zurales, age 57, passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 11, 2016 in Warner Robins, GA. He is preceded in death by his father, Peter Zurales, his sister, Jane Zurales Martorana and his brother Peter James Zurales. Dr. Zurales attended University of Florida, was a graduate of University of South Florida and received his Doctorate in Theoretical Chemistry from Texas A & M. His teaching career spanned a period of over twenty years up to the present at Texas A & M, Southeast Louisiana University, Middle Georgia College and was currently teaching at Georgia Military College in Milledgeville, GA. His working career started at Steak 'N Shake which continued to be a lifelong favorite of his. Bob's love of baseball began in Little League, continued with high school and then to an adult baseball league. He remained a devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs. Dr. Zurales is survived by his mother, Mary Skinner Zurales, wife Nancy Naughton, sister and brother-in-law, Pamela and Phillip Karagan of Orange Beach, AL., step-son, Christopher Bottom, nephews and their families, Dorian (Cheryl) Martorana, David (Jennifer) Martorana, Dustin Martorana, Mark Zurales, and niece Katie Zurales, many other friends and family members. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Chapel services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Radney Funeral Home-Mobile, Mobile, AL.
